For any fantasy baseball team, starting the right players is unsurprisingly the key to success. This is especially true in the immensely popular daily leagues, where a single player can mean the difference between a big payday and crushing disappointment. Based on matchups and talent, the following five players could all be in store for an outstanding day on June 30 and deserve your utmost consideration.

This 24-year-old has been very productive of late, as he's batting .329 with four HRs and 18 RBIs since June 7. He'll look to close out the month with a bang tonight when the Cubs take on Jake Peavy and the Boston Red Sox. Peavy has really struggled this year with a 4.93 ERA and 16 HRs allowed in 98.2 innings pitched, and Castro has done most of his damage facing right-handed pitching this season.

4. P - Mat Latos: Cincinnati Reds

In three games since returning from an elbow injury, Latos has two gems and a stinker to his credit. Considering the opponent, another strong outing is highly likely today. The San Diego Padres will be his foe, and their offense is working on a historically bad season. On top of scoring a microscopic 2.95 runs per game on the year, they're batting just .212 as a team, which is a full 20 points lower than the next squad up.

3. 1B - Freddie Freeman: Atlanta Braves

After going through a soft stretch early in the month, Freeman has caught fire of late, as he's batting a tidy .371 in his last 15 games. Expect him to keep the momentum going today when he faces the struggling Zack Wheeler. The New York Mets' starter has been lit up in his past four starts to the tune of a 6.56 ERA, and left-handers are batting a lofty .301 against him to this point.

2. 3B - Adrian Beltre: Texas Rangers

With an impressive .394 average and 22 RBIs, this slugger has had a very memorable June indeed. Expect him to close out the month in style when he squares off against the disappointing Ubaldo Jimenez this evening. While the Indians' right-hander has pitched well on the road this season, he'll be at home today where he sports an 0-6 record and an ugly 6.28 ERA.

1. OF - Mike Trout: Los Angeles Angels

Trout has put his May struggles behind him in a big way, as he's batting a superb .361 with seven HRs and 21 RBIs in June. Those in daily leagues may shy away from his hefty price tag, but this phenom may just be worth the investment today. Hector Noesi will start against L.A. this evening, and not only does he sport a terrible 5.07 ERA on the year, but right-handers are batting a ridiculously high .346 against him in 144 plate appearances.
