5. Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia drafted rookie tight end Jordan Matthews in the second round, which not only means Brent Celek will likely be cut, but it also means that Ertz will now be the most experienced tight end on the roster. O.C Chip Kelly is looking to feature more two-tight sets and seriously incorporate Ertz into the passing game. Considering the points that Philly is going to score this year, Ertz could easily haul in over six touchdowns.

4. Coby Fleener, Indianapolis Colts

Fleener’s 2013 season was rather pedestrian, but he was much more productive throughout the postseason. The tight end caught 11 balls for 120 yards and one touchdown in the team’s two playoff games. Fleener has formed a strong chemistry with his former college teammate and the tight end should rival his career numbers across the board in 2014.

3. Charles Clay

Clay finished the year with 759 receiving yards and was tied for sixth best at the position with six touchdown receptions. Clay has formed a strong rapport with QB Ryan Tannehill and he has become his favorite target around the red zone. Clay will be a perennial top-10 fantasy tight end from here on out.

2. Martellus Bennett, Chicago Bears

Bennett hauled in a career-high 759 receiving yards in his first year in Chicago and tied his career-high with five receiving touchdowns. The tight end has the advantage of having two All-Pro wideouts (Brandon Marshall & Alshon Jeffrey) running routes and the duo will keep defense honest against Bennett all year long. Look for Bennett to be one of the best value picks at the tight end position this season.

1. Jordan Reed, Washington Redskins

Reed was just starting to figure things out before suffering a nasty season-ending concussion in his rookie campaign. He racked up 323 yards and two touchdowns in the four games prior to his nasty head injury. Reed has top-five potential and will be a steal anywhere after the fifth round this summer.
