After a 2012 season where they went 10-6 and made the playoffs, the Redskins suffered an abysmal fall from grace as they only went 3-13 last season. This was mostly due to an unhealthy Robert Griffin III along with a multitude of issues regarding players, coaches, and the direction of their offensive game plan. They now have a new head coach in Jay Gruden and plan to make things right for 2014. Let's take a look at their top 5 offensive weapons.

The former Florida Gator had a breakout season in 2013 as he recorded 45 catches for 499 yards and 3 touchdowns. If he didn't suffer a season-ending concussion and was involved in all 16 games, then he was on pace to get 80 catches, 994 yards, and 5 TDs. The addition of DeSean Jackson will cut into his potential numbers, but not to a massive extent. A season with 65+ catches for 800+ yards and 5 TDs is a reasonable expectation for this top-10 TE.

Many assume that Gruden's arrival will lead to a decline in Morris' stats. However, the additional arrival of DeSean Jackson should help. Along with Pierre Garcon, Jackson will cause safeties to load the box less than in 2013 since daring the Redskins to pass with that duo is a recipe for disaster. This situation should keep running lanes open for Morris and he has also been improving his pass catching in order to be more versatile.

3. DeSean Jackson - Wide Receiver

Jackson's arrival is exactly what the Redskins needed to increase the potency of their offensive attack. His presence will keep defenses off balance as they decide whether to focus on stopping the run or the pass. Jackson may not repeat his 82 catches for 1,332 yards and nine TDs from the 2013 season, but his fantasy value won't diminish too much. He should still be able to record close to 70 catches for 1000+ yards and six-plus TDs.

2. Pierre Garcon - Wide Receiver

Garcon exploded for a career year in 2013 as he ended the season with 113 catches for 1,346 yards and five touchdowns. While fantasy owners shouldn't expect that type of production from him in 2014 his potential output should be still around 85+ catches for 1,200 yards and six touchdowns. This would rank him in the top 12-15 of all fantasy receivers and even higher in PPR (points-per-reception) leagues.

In 2012, he arrived with a lot of hype and he lived up to it with 4,015 total yards and 27 total touchdowns. However, due to injury, Griffin struggled to repeat his stellar rookie season in 2013. This year should be a resurgent one for him as he seems to have his explosiveness back, a new weapon to throw to and a new coach that will grant him freedom he never had before.

Everything is in place for RG3 to finish as a Top-5 Fantasy QB in 2014.
