For any fantasy baseball team, starting the right players is unsurprisingly the key to success. This is especially true in the immensely popular daily leagues, where a single player can mean the difference between a big payday and crushing disappointment. Based on matchups and talent, the following players could all be in for an outstanding day on August 4 and deserve your utmost consideration.

(All stats current through 6:30 p.m. Sunday)

5. SS - Alexei Ramirez: Chicago White Sox

After a prolonged slump, Ramirez has once again found his groove at the plate. He's posted eight multi-hit efforts over his last 12 games, and has chipped in three HRs to go along with a whopping 14 RBIs over that span. Chicago will face the Texas Rangers and struggling starter Nick Martinez on Monday. Martinez sports an awful 5.08 ERA on the season, and has allowed 16 runs over his past 18.1 innings of work.

4. OF - Adam Eaton: Chicago White Sox

Few hitters ever get as hot as this lefty is right now. Eaton sports a preposterous .455 average over his last 18 games, and has turned that into 13 runs scored. He'll face the aforementioned Nick Martinez coming up, and you have to love the matchup. Martinez is allowing lefties to bat .310 on the season, plus they have managed 21 extra-base hits in just 168 plate appearances vs. him.

3. 1B - Lucas Duda: New York Mets

Duda is in the midst of his most productive stretch of the season, as he's mashed six HRs to go along with 12 RBIs over his last 10 starts. A date with one of his favorite pitchers is likely to keep the good times rolling. The Mets will face starter Tim Hudson on Monday. Hudson has struggled of late with a 1-6 record over his last seven outings, and in 28 career at bats, Duda has tormented him to the tune of a .393 average.

2. 3B - Adrian Beltre: Texas Rangers

Despite this being a disastrous season for the Rangers, Beltre has remained one of baseball's best hitters. His .323 average ranks third in the AL, and he's hit better than .300 in each of the last three months. Beltre has an incredible matchup to take advantage of on Monday. The Rangers will take on starter Hector Noesi, and to go along with a terrible 5.21 ERA, he's allowing right-handers to bat a lofty .332 on the season.

1. P - Corey Kluver: Cleveland Indians

Boy has this hurler been good of late. Kluber has been making opposing hitters cry for their mommies his past nine starts as he's posted a tremendous 1.61 ERA, and has fanned 66 batters over those 67 innings of work. Expect him to keep rolling on Monday when the Tribe take on the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds sport a horrible 4-10 record since the All-Star break, and have scored a lowly 3.00 runs per contest over that span.
