The fantasy baseball playoffs are quickly approaching and from here on out it is important to make sure you are starting the right guy each week. For those of you still trying to set your Week 20 lineup, make sure to plug in San Diego Padres SP Jessee Hahn.

Hahn quietly has a 7-3 record with a 2.28 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through 10 starts. The righty has struck out 57 batters in 59.1 innings of work and continues to miss bats at the professional level. The 25-year-old has matured into a fantasy star in his rookie season and has earned some respect in fantasy circles.

Let’s take a look at his projected starts for this week:

8/11 vs. Colorado Rockies

8/16 @ St. Louis Cardinals

Colorado is leading the league with a .279 batting average as a team. Luckily for Hahn, the Rockies won’t have SS Troy Tulowitzki, who is on the DL with a groin injury. They may even be without OF Carlos Gonzalez, as he continues to miss games with a nagging knee injury.

The Cards are currently 29th in runs scored (420), 29th in home runs (76), and 19th in batting average (.250). They are in a serious offensive slump and won’t offer Hahn much competition.

These are two very favorable matchups for the young flamethrower, and he should have no problem putting together two quality starts next week. He will easily amass over 10 innings and will be a safe bet to pick up two wins.
