In the final weeks of the 2014 fantasy baseball season there will be plenty of owners looking to add a reliable outfielder for the playoffs. There are plenty of options to consider, but perhaps the most intriguing player to take a shot on this week is San Francisco Giants OF Angel Pagan.

Pagan has been sitting on the shelf for weeks with a nagging back injury, but the veteran was just activates this past week. He has looked very strong at the plate since coming back and has picked up right where he left off before his injury.

Pagan has gone 6-18 since retuning to the lineup, including an impressive four-game hitting streak. He has also stolen one base over those four games, which shows that the utility man is finally completely healthy.

San Francisco is still in the playoff hunt, so they will need all the help they can offensively. Pagan is a reliable veteran that plays each game at a high level, so he will  give fantasy owners plenty of at-bats down the stretch.

Pagan is still owned in under 50% (48.9%) of ESPN leagues right now and the veteran can be a great pickup at this point in the season. He can be an amazing OF3 to lean on for a playoff push, so double check your waiver wire to make sure he isn’t still in the field.
