To help you pick your fantasy foursome this week, here are five fantasy golfers to avoid at the 2014 Deutsche Bank Championship .

5. Freddie Jacobson

Jacobson will reeve some attention this week since he posted a T9 at TPC Boston back in 2007. However, the Swede hasn’t cracked the top-30 here in his last five attempts. The veteran simply isn’t worth gambling on this week and it would be better to simply avoid him completely.

4. Carl Pettersson

Pettersson registered back-to-back top-10 finishes in the middle of June, and as a result, he was a popular fantasy option for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, he has missed the cut twice in his last three tournaments. Pettersson has regressed this summer and will be long shot to make the cut this week with the star-studded field heading to Boston.

3. Hideki Matsuyama

Matsuyama shocked the world by winning the Memorial Tournament earlier in the year. Since then, though, he hasn’t played very well. Matsuyama only has one top-25 finish in his last six tournaments and missed the cut at the Wyndham Championship. The 22-year-old is simply too risky this week.

2. Jordan Spieth

Spieth hasn’t cracked the top-20 in his last four tournaments. He has really struggled to find the fairway this summer and will once again be a risky pick this week.

1. Rory McIlroy

After wining three straight tournaments, McIlroy finished in the middle of the pack at The Barclays with a T22. He is the hottest golfer on the tour right now and will be the top pick in all fantasy formats, but the odds of him winning it all are very slim. Pick someone else with your top pick this week, because Rory's asking price will simply be too high.
