Shazier is a physical freak. He has 4.4 speed and a stout 237-pound frame. He racked up 11 tackles and an interception in one half of a preseason game and seems primed for a huge season. Look for him to start his quest for D.R.O.Y. in Week 1 against a lackluster Cleveland offense.

4. Nigel Bradham, Buffalo Bills

Bradham will take over as the middle linebacker with Kiko Alonso out for the year following a torn ACL. Bradham led the team with 19 tackles this preseason and seems primed for a big year.

3. Paul Worrilow, Atlanta Falcons

Worrilow was a hidden gem last season. The rookie racked up 127 tackles, including 12.2 tackles over the final nine games of the 2013 season. Worrilow will be a stud IDP option out of the gate this season and will be all over the field against the Saints in Week 1.

Week 1 Matchup: (vs. NO)

2. Justin Houston, Kansas City Chiefs

Houston was leading the league with 11 sacks in 2013 before going down with a groin injury which slowed him down for the rest of the season. He will be 100% healthy this year and will once again be a top-10 linebacker in all formats. Don't sleep on him in Week 1, because he will start the year off with a bang.

Week 1 Matchup: (vs. TEN)

1. James Laurinaitis, St. Louis Rams

After two straight seasons with 142 tackles, many owners were disappointed with the mere 116 hits Laurinaitis amassed in 2013. Luckily, he starts off the 2014 season against the run-heavy Vikings and Adrian Peterson. Laurinaitis should easily rack up 10 hits in Week 1.
