Week 2 Fantasy Football: Don’t Start RB Lamar Miller

The Miami Dolphins haven’t had a reliable fantasy football running back in years, but the team suddenly has a couple popular flex options. Knowshon Moreno was brought in to take over the starting gig, but his backup Lamar Miller continues to gain attention around the fantasy community.

In Week 1, Miller had a rather deceptive fantasy performance. He ran the ball 11 times for 59 times and added four catches for 19 yards. He even added a seven-yard receiving touchdown in the contest and some thought it was a breakout game for the veteran.

Unfortunately, Miller fumbled the ball in the first half, and as a result, he saw his role greatly diminished in the second half. Moreno slowly took over the lion’s share of carries and ended up having a monster performance of his own.

Moreno ran the ball 24 times for a league leading 134 yards in Week 1. He added a touchdown and looked like the number one back in Miami. His performance quickly quieted the rumors about him moving to bench, and even better, it put Miller owners in check.

If you own Moreno, he is a must-start this week against the Buffalo Bills. If you own Miller, though, it would be better to keep him on the bench, because there are much more reliable options out there.
