5 Sleeper Kickers
Normally, kickers don’t gain much attention in fantasy football. However, they can occasionally make or break a fantasy week. To help you get the win this weekend, here are five sleeper fantasy football kickers for Week 5 of the 2014 season.
5. Phil Dawson, San Francisco 49ers
5. Phil Dawson, San Francisco 49ers
After a slow start to the 2014 season, Dawson knocked home four field goals last weekend in the team’s 26-21 win over the then undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. San Fran’s offense has finally broke though their slump, and Dawson will be a worthy starter as long as they keep moving the chains.

4. Shayne Graham, New Orleans Saints
4. Shayne Graham, New Orleans Saints
With big names like Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham, it is surprisingly to see the New Orleans Saints at 1-3. However, it is only a matter of time until the Saints offense wakes up and that could very well happen versus a TB defense this week that has been torched all year long. This is the prefect week for the offense to break through, and Graham will certainly benefit from the extra work.
Week 5 Matchup: (vs. TB)
3. Josh Brown, New York Giants
3. Josh Brown, New York Giants
After a miserable 2013 season, the NY offense seems to be in full gear. They have scored a whopping 75 points over the past two games and have started to pile on the points. They face an Atlanta defense that has been unable to stop anyone defensively, so expect Brown to get plenty of kicking in this weekend.
Week 5 Matchup: (vs. ATL)
2. Dan Carpenter, Buffalo Bills
2. Dan Carpenter, Buffalo Bills
Carpenter has been automatic for Buffalo this season. He has nailed 10 of his 11 field goal attempts, including a five-FG effort in Week 2. Buffalo’s offense has been quietly productive this year and the veteran will get a couple chances to knock home some field goals this Sunday, even if veteran QB Kyle Orton has been given control of the offense.

1. Nick Novak, San Diego Chargers
1. Nick Novak, San Diego Chargers
Novak has made all 10 of his field goal attempts this season, including at least two in the past three games. He has emerged as a top-10 kicker in all formats. San Diego’s offense has been on fire lately, and even though they will move the ball this weekend, they will have a tough time punching it into the end zone against a stout NY defense.
