For those fantasy football owners waiting for T.Y. Hilton to break out with a big-time performance, it could happen anytime now. Why not on Thursday Night Football against the Houston Texans?

Hilton has the ingredients of a stud wide receiver. He’s incredibly talented, he has a top-tier quarterback throwing to him and he’s had double-digit targets in all but one game this season. This week, Hilton faces a Texans defense that ranks 21st against the pass.

Hilton is due for a big fantasy performance. Oddly, the only thing stopping him is a lack of touchdowns. Despite having the league leader in passing touchdowns throwing to him, Hilton has yet to find the end zone. 11 of Andrew Luck’s 14 passing TDs have gone to tight ends and running backs.

Eventually, opposing defenses should catch on and Hilton should get more end zone looks. Even if he doesn’t, he’s been giving fantasy owners some okay production with receiving yards. Hilton’s ninth in the league with 382 yards, including 90, 105 and 80-yard performances in his last three games.

Hilton is fifth in the NFL in targets. Of the 14 most targeted wide receivers in the league, Hilton is the only one without a touchdown grab. Reggie Wayne has a TD grab and Hakeem Nicks has two. It’s Hilton’s turn.

Against a subpar Texans pass defense, he should be started in all formats. According to Arian Foster’s “research” nobody likes Thursday Night Football, so starting Hilton might make it a little more fun to watch.

Projection: 125 receiving yards, two receiving TDs
