Brian Quick Fantasy Football Week 6 Projection

There have been a lot of surprises so far this season. One of the biggest surprises has been St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brian Quick. Quick and the Rams welcome division opponent San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Despite the tough opponent, Quick should have another great performance.

After five weeks, Quick is the 14th-best wide out in ESPN.com standard leagues. He had seven receptions in each of his first two games and 21 for the season, making him a nice PPR option as well. He has seven catches for 149 yards and three touchdowns in his last two games, including a 20-point performance against the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

The Rams have suffered a lot of injuries already in this short season. The team lost its first two quarterbacks, Sam Bradford and Shaun Hill, resulting in Austin Davis under center. However, he hasn’t done too bad. He has developed great chemistry with Quick, completing 68 percent on his attempts to the wideout for a strong 10.1 yards per attempt.

As for Quick’s opponent, the 49ers are one of the stingiest pass defenses in the league. The unit has allowed the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers over the last two games. Despite the pressure that will be applied to him, Davis will still look for Quick early and often.

Fantasy owners are believing in Quick’s skills and his big-play ability. In Week 6, the third-year wide out should rack up another seven receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown (12 points).
