Dwayne Allen Fantasy Football Week 6 Projection

After playing only one game in 2013 after tearing his ACL, Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen wasn’t on many fantasy football radars this summer. Many viewed Coby Fleener as the No. 1 fantasy tight end on the roster, and as a result, Andrew Luck’s college roommate was a popular fantasy option in the middle of the draft this summer.

So far throughout the 2014 season, though, Allen has been producing like an All-Pro option. Allen has caught a touchdown in three straight games and quietly has five touchdowns on the year. He is also third on the team in receiving yards behind only Reggie Wayne (384 yards) and T.Y. Hilton (381 yards). Fleener has still hauled in two touchdowns this season, but Allen has outproduced him week after week.

Indy plays the Houston Texans on Thursday night and their defense has been continually torched this season. They are currently 21st against the pass (253.2 yards/game) in the league and are near the bottom of the league in every defensive category. They will have a very tough task trying to contain Indy’s high-powered offense this week.

Allen has become a must-start tight end this fantasy season. He has become Luck’s favorite red-zone target and the tight end will have another big performance on TNF, so feel free to once again start him in all formats.

Week 6 Prediction: 4 REC., 62 YDS, 1 TD
