One of the most popular mid-round fantasy football sleepers at the tight end position this summer was Jordan Reed of the Washington Redskins. He showed glimpses of stardom last year and was drafted based on potential alone, he was a popular fantasy option this summer. Unfortunately, Reed has once again struggled to stay healthy, as he has dealt with a hamstring injury for weeks.

In his absence, TE Niles Paul has been a rock for the Skins this season. He  has an impressive 319 receiving yards, which is second only to WR DeSean Jackson. Paul has also finished with 60 yards or more in four of his last five games, and the only reason he didn’t show up last week (1 catch for 2 yards) was because he suffered a concussion early in the game.

Luckily, Paul has already been cleared to return to practice. The 25-year-old will be ready to go this Sunday and Paul seems primed to bounce back this weekend. Washington faces the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 that is 31st in the league against the pass (302.5 yards/game). They are also allowing 11.3 fantasy points per week to opposing tight ends, which is the sixth most points in the league.

Paul will once again be a strong sleeper to roll with this week. QB Kirk Cousins has proven that he trusts the tight end and the favorable matchup should allow the offense to pile on the yards. Look for Paul to easily go over 50 yards again this weekend.

Week 6 Projection: 6 REC., 72 YDS, 0 TDs
