A hamstring injury kept him out of the season until Week 5, but Odell Beckham Jr. made his presence known in his first professional football game. Against the Atlanta Falcons, Beckham Jr. caught four passes on five targets for 55 yards and a touchdown. On his touchdown pass, it was easy to see why many loved him for his explosiveness and his ability to go up for the football.

Coming out of LSU, Beckham Jr. was viewed as an intriguing NFL prospect. With lightning speed, good hands and excellent route-running skills, many predicted Beckham Jr. to have success in the NFL. While it is an extremely small sample size, Beckham Jr. passed not only the eye test in Week 5, but he passed the test against professional cornerbacks. Beckham Jr. is a perfect fit in Ben McAdoo’s offensive system. Whether it is long ball or the intermediate routes, Beckham Jr. can do it all.

It’s felt like forever since Eli Manning has had a reliable receiver opposite of Victor Cruz. Even though Hakeem Nicks was on the roster last year, he simply wasn’t good and that led to his departure over the offseason. Rueben Randle has made a ton of progress since his rookie year, but there still seems to be some growing pains with him. Something interesting to note is that Randle and Beckham Jr. have ties from their days at LSU. That being said, the New York Giants could have a ton of intriguing formations with the two because of their chemistry together. Beckham Jr. could end up being a great PPR free agent pickup going forward.

Week 6 Fantasy Football Projection: Seven catches for 63 yards and a touchdown.
