After a great rookie campaign, Zac Stacy was a highly touted running back option in fantasy football leagues. Playing in only 13 games, he got 250 attempts for 973 yards and seven touchdowns — not bad for a first-year player.

His 2014 season is a different story. With Sam Bradford injured again, he doesn’t get any help from the offense, which has certainly led to a decline in his ability. He doesn’t have the same “pop” he had a year ago, as well. He has yet to run for 75 yards, and only has one touchdown. He has certainly slipped into the sophomore slump, and it doesn’t look like he’ll break it in Week 6.

This week, Stacy and theSt. Louis Rams go up against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are always a top team, but have been looking weak as of late. They lost to the sporadically good Chicago Bears and to their division rival the Arizona Cardinals. All of that aside, they give up the least amount of fantasy points to running backs. Their linebackers and defensive line are big, fast and intimidating. They will give the Rams no room to breathe, and Stacy will feel the pain. Stacy is also coming off of a calf injury sustained in Week 5, and if the coaches are smart, they’ll limit his carries so he doesn’t get hurt as he’s swallowed up in the black hole that is the 49ers’ run defense. This spells trouble for fantasy owners, who thought he’d be better than his rookie self, but now are kicking themselves in hindsight.

Final Prediction: 15 carries, 45 yards, zero touchdowns
