Wake up fantasy football players. Have you all been living in a fantasy cave? There is no good reason for Travis Kelce’s availability in the majority of fantasy leagues. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is a must-own in all formats. If he’s available in your league, grab him now.
Alex Smith has found his new Vernon Davis. In his first season of work, Kelce is leading the Chiefs in all receiving categories through five games. Thus far he’s compiled 20 catches for 274 and three touchdowns.
He’s put together these numbers despite a puzzling lack of snaps early in the season, but Andy Reid has woken up since then. Kelce is by far the Chiefs’ best weapon outside of Jamaal Charles, and he hasn’t come close to reaching his full potential.
Kelce is one of the most athletic pass-catching tight ends in the league. Now that he has his coaching staff’s full attention, he’ll be a focus of the offense moving forward. It’s safe to expect a rise in an already impressive 8.6 fantasy points per game.
I expect Kelce to finish the season as a top-five tight end. He’s already scoring in the top 10. Another great thing about him is that he’s already had his bye week. GMs can snag him now and trade whoever else they own without needing a backup for the rest of the season (barring injury).
Kelce has stud potential, as he’s grabbed a TD in each of his last three games and his average score is in the top 10 at his position. It is ridiculous how many leagues he’s still available in. If he’s up for grabs in your league, get in line for him now.
