Tom Brady Fantasy Football Week 7 Projection

All the jokes about Tom Brady’s, “When I suck, I’ll retire” quote have been silenced. He is back to QB1 status. Hopefully his fantasy football owners didn’t do anything drastic after his slow start.

After an embarrassing game on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs in which Jimmy Garoppolo finished for him, Brady has bounced back with two incredible performances. Against what was thought to be a tough Cincinnati Bengals’ defense, Brady threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers.

He followed that up with 361 passing yards, four touchdowns, and no turnovers against the Buffalo Bills. Now he’s up against a New York Jets’ defense that has given up more passing touchdowns (18) than any team in the league.

Brandon LaFell is emerging as a legitimate weapon, joining Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski to give Brady a solid arsenal. The shaky offensive line has stepped it up as of late, allowing just three sacks in the last two games. Brady is still Brady; he just needs a little help sometimes.

He’s a must-start in Week 7. Don’t treat Brady like the guy who had just one touchdown in each of his first four games. Forget about the three-turnover performance in Kansas City. Just look at the last two weeks, or the rest of his career for that matter.

Brady is back on track and facing a defense that allows 26.3 points per game. It wouldn’t be surprising if he were the highest-scoring quarterback this week. He’s playing on Thursday Night Football, so be sure to move him into the starting lineup soon.

Projection: 330 passing yards, four TDs, zero turnovers
