Fantasy Football Week 7 Start or Sit: Roddy White

Roddy White

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

While the Atlanta Falcons struggle on the road, it will hard for the Baltimore Ravens secondary to stop the Falcons offense. If you own any Atlanta starter, especially Roddy White, put them in your lineup.

The Falcons travel north to Baltimore a little banged up. Julio JonesDevin Hester and Harry Douglas all own a questionable tag. White is the only healthy receiver. We expect Jones and Hester to suit up, though White will be the biggest beneficiary from all of the injuries. Quarterback Matt Ryan will look the veteran’s way early and often.

The Ravens secondary allow the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. The defensive unit has given up 1,229 yards and five touchdowns to wide receivers. The 1,229 yards is the most in the league.

The Falcons are a pass-first team. With the group of running backs the team has, it’s no surprise Ryan is in the top five among quarterbacks in pass attempts. He has attempted 234 passes and completed 149 of them, 63.7 completion percentage.

White ranks 42nd among wide receivers in ESPN.com standard leagues. He hasn’t been worth starting in recent weeks. He has only two touchdowns and two games with over 70 yards. This game could easily turn into a shootout because of how badly each team’s defense is. White could easily catch eight to 10 passes against the Ravens defense.

White is worth starting in PPR leagues. If you are in a standard league, he is a flex play at best.
