The center position is one of the most pivotal positions in fantasy basketball. The difference between having one of the top guys at the position and a middle-tier performer can drastically change the outlook for your team. Though some of these guys may not play center often, they have center eligibility in fantasy. With that, here are the top 15 centers for this fantasy season.

15. Nerlens Noel

Picking up Noel could definitely be a gamble considering that he’s a rookie that is coming off of a knee injury and still has to pick up the intricacies of the NBA game. Regardless, he’s going to be one of the top options on a bad team, which should result in solid production.

14. DeAndre Jordan

Jordan hasn’t exactly been a stat monster over his time in the league, but he’s shown improvement and this Clippers team is going to need him to produce at a big level. He’ll fill up a lot of categories and can give you a boost.

13. Nikola Vucevic

Vucevic has been a reliable fantasy option at the center position for some time now and you can expect a double-double on any given night. He’s not going to give you much on the defensive end, but the reliability where he does produce give him solid value.

12. Al Horford

Horford has proven himself to be an injury risk over the past couple of seasons, but there’s no denying his value when he’s on the floor. As he’s healthy right now, you could do a whole lot worse than grabbing the big man in Atlanta in your league.

11. Marc Gasol

Gasol is probably more valuable of a player on the floor than the stats might indicate, but that also doesn’t mean he can’t produce statistically. He’s a do-it-all big man that’ll get you solid assist and steal numbers for the position.

10. Joakim Noah

Much like in the mold of Gasol, Noah is a guy that is going to produce all over the box score at the center position, though not many numbers outside of his rebounding are going to wow you. He has fantasy value, but not as much as in actual games.

9. Andre Drummond

Drummond could very well be in for a monster year under big-man-whisperer Stan Van Gundy. He’s been immensely talented and he’s going to have the opportunity to shine.

8. Al Jefferson

Jefferson is one of the top three offensive centers in the game right now and he’s the number one option on a good Charlotte team. He’ll put up big points and rebounds for your fantasy team if that’s what you want from the position.

7. LaMarcus Aldridge

This is where things get a little wonky due to position eligibility. Aldridge is a double-double machine on an offensive juggernaut. If you’re set at power forward, don’t hesitate to pick him up and plug him in at center.

6. Dwight Howard

Though he’s been lackluster recently given his past production, Howard looks to finally be healthy this season, which could mean a big, big year ahead of him.

5. Chris Bosh

Bosh is undoubtedly going to be the focal-point of the Miami Heat this season and that should mean a world of production. He’ll produce on both ends of the floor and most likely silence anyone who has doubted him over the Big Three era.

4. Kevin Love

Love is another power forward with center eligibility that doesn’t totally make sense, but you should take advantage of what’s there. He’s going to produce at a high level still in Cleveland and his three-point proficiency will add value to him at the position.

3. Serge Ibaka

Yet another power forward that has rarely ever played center but has eligibility, Ibaka is going to be a force on the high-octane Thunder. He fills up the stat-sheet on a nightly basis and puts up big numbers in several categories.

2. DeMarcus Cousins

Cousins could be in for an absolutely massive season in Sacramento as they will undoubtedly feature him. He performs in a big way on both offense and defense and is the best true center for fantasy this season.

1. Anthony Davis

Davis is a power forward, but he does see time at center so his eligibility makes some sense. He’s going to be an absolute force in the league this season that should produce in almost every category in your league. He’s not only tops on this list, but is close to the top of the overall rankings and rightfully so.
