Building the Perfect FanDuel Lineup for Week 9

Building the Perfect FanDuel Lineup for Week 9

The theme for this week is redemption. A few of these selections have had a rough go of it at some point this season, but there are match ups on the horizon that are set to turn those single-digit numbers into glorious double-digit saviors. These talented players can't be held down forever, and Week 9 is when they finally breakout of their mini slumps.

With a favorable matchup against the Rams, I like the bicep smoocher to put up great numbers at an even better price. Kaepernick is only the 11th-most-expensive QB on the board, so you'll be able to allocate your remaining funds to prolific playmakers. He should be making love to his arms all day long.

Beast Mode has a great matchup against the winless Raiders on Sunday. The Seahawks are favored by 15, so he should see plenty of meaningful touches early on. It's been reported that the entire Seattle organization is fed up with his antics, but this might be the game where they give him the rock to keep him happy...for at least three hours. After that time period, he's on his own agenda.

RB - Ahmad Bradshaw $7,500

The good ol' revenge factor looms large here for the former Giant, as the Colts could feed him the ball every chance they get down by the goal line. Before you jump down my throat, this selection isn't all about revenge. Bradshaw has hit 20+ points twice this season and only been held under 10 once as well. The Giants have given up eight rushing touchdowns this season (T-26th in NFL) and Bradshaw is a huge receiving threat out of the backfield.

The Cards have given up a league-high 302.9 yards per game through the air. Patrick Peterson is listed as questionable after he took that wicked shot to the head last week against Philly, but even if he plays, you have to wonder how effective he'll be. I actually like Dez a lot more if Weeden starts. Arizona will stack the box against Demarco Murray and a healthy Weeden is better than a wheelchair-ridden Romo.

Patterson has been struggling most of the year, but this is a great matchup against the Skins. Over the last four games, Washington has given up 12 YPC and six touchdowns to wide receivers. It's a high-risk play but I'm looking for a huge game out of Patterson in this one. The Skins had a huge win in Dallas on Monday night so a big letdown is in order for them, especially for a defense that played way over its head.

The Chiefs have been playing exceptional football of late so this would be a great opportunity against the Jets to get their No. 1 receiver into the end zone for the first time this year. It's another high-risk play, but against this porous Jets' secondary, I also like to live dangerously (Austin Powers voice).

TE - Larry Donnell $5,400

This is a great price to get a tight end of this caliber. Donnell started out the season on a hot streak and, as a result, has drawn more attention from defenses. With the emergence of Odell Beckham Jr. in their last game against Dallas, we saw Donnell get his usual amount of targets. I really like him to get into the end zone in a game that promises to see some offense (over/under 51).

Picking a kicker in fantasy football is as unsettling as listening to Ray Liotta laugh in those 1800 Tequila commercials. Speaking of creepy, the line on the Philly/Houston game is just that (PHI -2 -- o/u 48.5), which makes me think this will be a crazy game. Bullock has put up double digits in four of his eight games this year. The game is also under a roof too, which is always favorable.

I'm a Tampa Bay Bucs fan and I'll be starting the Browns defense in every single fantasy format this week. Tampa's offensive line is going to get Mike Glennon's giraffe neck knocked off one day, and Sunday could very well be the day. Obvious plays like Cincinnati 00 (vs. Jacksonville) and Seattle 00 (vs. Oakland) are great plays but if you want to save money for better position players, this is the way to go.
