Fantasy Football Week 10 Start or Sit: Ryan Tannehill
The Miami Dolphins are suddenly 5-3 on the season and the Dolphins are closing in on a playoff spot. They are even on the verge of threatening the New England Patriots for the top spot in the AFC East.
The major reason for the team’s success this season has been the play of QB Ryan Tannehill.
Tannehill has quietly thrown at least one touchdown in every single game this year and has become a viable fantasy football quarterback in all formats. He has thrown 10 touchdowns in the past five games alone and knows how to make the most of the team’s lackluster set of offensive weapons.
Even better, the converted wide receiver has been useful in the running game. He has racked up 245 rushing yards on the season, including an impressive 45.4 rushing yards over the past five games. His ability to consistently amass rushing yards has not only helped him in the passing game, but it has also helped him add more fantasy points on a weekly basis.
In Week 10, the Phins take on the Detroit Lions. Detroit surprisingly has one of the top pass defenses in the game, but they are currently plagued by injuries and are having problems getting to the quarterback. The lack of pressure will allow Tannehill to pick apart Detroit’s defense and rack up yards with his legs. He could easily end this matchup with over 50 rushing yards.
Tannehill isn’t an elite option by any means, but he is worth starting this week in leagues with 10-plus owners. He should finish the contest with at least 2 TDs and easily rack up over 15 fantasy points in Week 10.
