Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickup: TE Jared Cook

One of the most popular fantasy football sleepers at the tight end position this offseason was Jared Cook of the St. Louis Rams. He was a top-10 option in most leagues and many owners drafted him ahead of several veteran options this summer.

Unfortunately, Cook has been rather quiet for most of this season. He has struggled to fill the box score and has been dropped in nearly every fantasy league. It has been a rather forgettable couple weeks for the former third round pick.

After three straight games of finishing with fewer than 30 receiving yards, Cook finally had a strong game in Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals. The tight end hauled in only two balls in the contest, but he managed to haul in 84 yards and to catch his first touchdown of the season.

It was a very promising outing from the tight end. He is finally starting to see more targets WR Brian Quick is done for the year and he is certainly making he shot of them. Look for him to see four-plus targets from here on out.

Cook is available in 57.3% of ESPN formats and will be worth taking a shot on in deeper formats this week. He won’t put up starter quality numbers each and every week of the fantasy season, but he will have some hidden gems down the stretch.
