Fantasy Football Player Predictions for Monday Night

Titans vs. Steelers, Jason McCourty & Antonio Brown
Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11's edition of Monday Night Football. Conditions in Tennessee are slated to be frigid with a chance of some sort of precipitation. The Titans have had a rather pitiful fantasy season while the Steelers have a top-10 quarterback with a top-five receiver and running back. Pittsburgh's defense, however, is near the bottom of the league, making tonight's game an intriguing matchup.

Antonio Brown had 74 yards last week against the Jets, which was actually a quiet day for the league's top fantasy wideout. He had two fumbles and finished with a season-low three fantasy points. The Titans are allowing 171 yards per game to opposing receivers, so Brown should get back on track since he hasn't had consecutive games of fewer than 10-plus catches or 100-plus yards. Expect either 100 yards receiving and/or a score from Brown.

5. Ben Roethlisberger

Big Ben came down to earth last week, throwing for just one touchdown after averaging six in Week's 8 & 9. He still finished with 343 yards against a mediocre Jets secondary on what was a slow day for his standards. The Titans have actually allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this year, but they haven't faced a signal caller like Roethlisberger this season. Expect a focused Big Ben to throw for 300 yards and three scores.

4. Bishop Sankey

Sankey has struggled mightily this season, which is why people may not remember that he was the first RB taken in last year's draft. The Steelers are in the middle of the pack in terms of run defense, but they have a ton of injuries including starters Steve McLendon (DT) and Ryan Shazier (LB). Sankey has seen an increase in carries with at least 15 in three of the last four games. Expect a season-high in fantasy points for Sankey tonight.

3. Le'Veon Bell

The NFL's fifth-best fantasy running back has been anything but in the last two games. After opening the year with eight straight games of more than 100 total yards, he has just 127 in the last two weeks and has carried the ball just 21 times. The Titans are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing backs and the sixth-most yards on the ground. Bell will be used heavily in the run and pass, en route to another 100-plus yard day.

2. Martavis Bryant

Bryant didn't make his NFL debut until Week 7, so he has quietly been a top-five fantasy receiver in the last five weeks. It has been a historic season for rookie receivers and Bryant just confirms that even more with his six touchdowns in four games. If Antonio Brown continues to see a double-team -- which he likely will -- Bryant will again be the beneficiary and could have his fifth straight game with double-digit fantasy points.

'Stability at the quarterback position' is not a phrase that can be used to describe the Titans this year, but Mettenberger is making his third straight start, which is a positive. Pittsburgh's injuries extend into the secondary as they are missing three players, including two starters. The Steelers have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to QBs over the last five weeks, meaning Mettenberger may have the best game of his rookie season.
