Succeeding at the highest degree in FanDuel obviously takes a great deal of knowledge and skill, but also requires a bit of luck at times with value plays. ,800 running back Jonas Gray in week 11 (who was just 0.3 percent owned in the .5M NFL Sunday Million Tournament) getting 43.9 points certainly qualifies. Looking to week 12 and including the Thursday game, here’s what I think is a near ideal FanDuel lineup,

QB: Ryan Mallett ($6,900)

Mallett showed a lot of good signs in his first start with Houston and there are obviously weapons around him that can boost his value a great deal with just a couple of plays. Against a lackluster Bengals pass defense and considering his price, Mallett is a good look at quarterback.

RB: DeMarco Murray ($9,000)

Murray is just coming off of the bye for Dallas and should be fresh, as should much of the rest of the Cowboys. Though he’s got a high price tag, you have to like his circumstances this week against a Giants defense that isn’t great by any stretch.

RB: Denard Robinson ($7,500)

Though it still seems strange to say, Robinson has been a consistent and productive back since taking over the duty as the Jags’ number one. He’s finished with less than 17 points just once in the last four weeks and he still garnered 108 yards rushing in that contest. Against a Colts team that the aforementioned Jonas Gray can attest to as being vulnerable to the run, Robinson has nice value here.

WR: Mike Evans ($8,400)

Evans has had at least seven catches, 120 yards, and one touchdown in his last three outings, peaking with the seven-catch, 209-yard, two-TD performance in week 11. Though Josh McCown is throwing him the rock, they are up against a Bears defense that has been shredded quite recently. Evans doesn’t seem likely to drop off this week.

WR: Steve Smith ($6,400)

After a big start to this season, Smith hasn’t done much of anything over the past four weeks. Against a susceptible Sainst defense in prime time, though, I’m taking a gamble on Smith for the price-tag and upside.

WR: Andre Johnson ($6,400)

I’m honestly not sure why Johnson isn’t coming at a higher price. Mallett looked his way and found him often in week 11 and the offense under the new quarterback should only continue to be opened up and become more dynamic. Johnson’s a steal at this price.

TE: Coby Fleener ($5,400)

With Dwayne Allen’s health in question due to an ankle injury, Fleener is clearly going to get worth in this pass-heavy offense. If he’s involved heavily in such a high-powered attack, he’s a fantastic value in week 12.

K: Robbie Gould ($4,600)

Though the Bears are in a bit of a quagmire as a whole right now, their offense is still capable of moving the ball against a poor team like the Bucs. Being just above the cheapest kickers, Gould should have chances to put several balls through the uprights.

DEF: Kansas City Chiefs ($5,400)

Normally I’ll look to go a little cheaper on defense, but the thought of how well this Chiefs defense is playing combined with the thought of how not well the Raiders play football is too good to pass up.
