Week 12 Fantasy Football: WR Mike Evans Will Have Another Big Game

Mike Evans

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

There is no fantasy football wideout hotter this month than Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans.

The rookie wideout hauled in seven balls for 124 yards and two touchdowns against the Cleveland Browns in Week 9. He matched that total in Week 10 (seven catches, 125 yards, 1 TD) against the Atlanta Falcons and posted a jaw-dropping 209 yards with two touchdowns in Week 11 against the Washington Redskins.

That is three-game total of 458 receiving yards and five touchdowns. The former South Carolina standout quietly has 794 receiving yards on the year to go along with seven touchdowns on the year and has emerged as a legitimate WR2 in all formats.

Since Josh McCown reclaimed the starting gig, he has been much dedicated to getting Evans the ball. The veteran quarterback has not been afraid to throw the ball downfield and has made a habit of looking for the rookie over WR Vincent Jackson. Evans will continue to shine with McCown calling the shots.

The Bucs have a decent matchup against the secondary of the Chicago Bears that is currently one of the worst in the game. Chicago is allowing the 30th most passing yards (266.1 yards/game) and surrendering 21.4 fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts. The unit should have a tough time containing the physical downfield wideout that is Evans.

Evans is a must-start in Week 12 and the wideout is primed to have another huge fantasy outing. Don’t be surprised to see him have another game with over 120 receiving yards.
