Fantasy Football Week 13 Start or Sit: Kenny Britt

Kenny Britt has been a fantasy tease all season long, and the sad sacks who pick him up on the waiver wire know all about it. They initially can’t believe he’s available because on the surface, his numbers look good and he has the prototypical body for an NFL receiver, but what they fail to realize until they’ve spent some significant time with Britt is that they will ultimately end up dropping him for the same reasons why he was available to begin with.

His overall numbers this year don’t look all that bad, especially when you consider the quarterbacks he’s had to work with, but if you take a closer look you will see that he hasn’t had more than five receptions in a game and he has only eclipsed the 100-yard mark once this season. In his other games, he hasn’t even come close to reaching 100 yards and he only has a total of three touchdowns.

This week, he is going up against an Oakland Raiders defense that is ranked 12th in the league against the pass and has future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson and Carlos Rogers in its secondary. Don’t be fooled this time, fantasy GMs; given the facts that he’s going up against a solid defense and has Shaun Hill as his quarterback, I would sit Britt this week without hesitation.
