Fantasy Football Week 13 Start or Sit: Tony Romo

Forget about Tony Romo’s uninspired performance against the Washington Redskins in Week 8 because since then he has been on fire. For that reason, Romo is a must start in Fantasy Football in Week 13, especially with the division on the line against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Since Romo’s 14 fantasy points against the Redskins he has registered 27 points against the Jacksonville Jaguars and a stellar 33 points against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football this past weekend. All in all, he has recorded more than 20 fantasy points in six of his 10 games this season, including six of his last seven. Romo is scorching on the gridiron, which means owners must continue to ride the hot hand.

In ESPN standard leagues, the 34-year-old has a projection of 26 fantasy points. With the Eagles allowing opposing quarterbacks to post 21.8 fantasy points on the road, it gives all the more incentive that Romo is going to light it up.

With a 68.8 completion percentage, 22 touchdowns to just six interceptions and a 111.4 passer rating this season, the only reason to sit Romo would be if a fantasy owner has a better option at quarterback. However, he is playing at the top of his game and is statistically one of the best signal callers in the NFL in 2014, which means there are very limited choices to pick that would be an upgrade for owners.

Another reason Romo is a must start is because of the supporting cast around him. Wide receiver Dez Bryant and running back DeMarco Murray have been playing fantastic this season, which gives Romo an edge over other quarterbacks.
