Fantasy Football Week 14 Waiver Wire Pickup: WR Kenny Stills
This week will be one of your last chances of the 2014 fantasy football season to improve our teams through the waiver wire. There will be few, if any better options to give your team a boost than New Orleans Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills.
You can’t judge the second-year wideout by anything but his last two games. His entire fantasy outlook changed when Brandin Cooks went on the IR prior to week 12. The fact that Stills had just one double-digit fantasy game (standard scoring) in the first 11 weeks of the season is irrelevant.
Since being bumped up the depth chart, Stills has had performances with eight receptions on nine targets for 98 yards, and five grabs on six targets for 162 yards and a TD. Games like these are certainly not guaranteed, but moving forward they will be much more likely than the five performances with three points or fewer that you saw earlier in the season.
With Drew Brees firing on all cylinders again, you can expect solid production from Stills with some very nice upside. He’s an incredibly underrated talent who deserves more looks than he gets. Stills has caught a very impressive 39 of the 51 balls thrown his way this season, and he’s a threat to break a big one on any play.
It’s playoff time in fantasy football. The lineups need to be at their best with a nice high ceiling. If yours has mediocrity at the wide receiver or flex spot, Stills should definitely be put in there.
