Building the Perfect NFL DraftKings Lineup For Week 16

The Perfect NFL DraftKings Lineup For Week 16

There are only two weeks left of the NFL regular season. The time to win some money is quickly slipping away. Selecting the best fanatsy team for a season-long league is tough, trying to do it on a week-by-week basis is tougher. I did not use any player from the Thursday night game between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars. Using Draft Kings' standard league set-up, I built this lineup with a budget of $55,000.

As the eighth-best fantasy defense, the New England Patriots face the New York Jets in Week 16. The defense has scored 32 fantasy points by Draft Kings' standard scoring. Hauling in three interceptions and racking up eight sacks has a lot to do with that. Geno Smith said that he has "shown signs of being a Pro-Bowl quarterback." Those signs are so miniscule that Ace of Base wouldn't bother opening their eyes. Use the Patriots defense this week.

Flex: Jarvis Landry ($5,300)

Jarvis Landry has been Ryan Tannehill's favorite target over the last few weeks. He's scored 68.2 fantasy points over the last four games. The Miami Dolphins are a longshot to make the playoffs, but there's no giving up now. The running game is clicking, which opens up the field for the wide receivers. The Dolphins face the Minnesota Vikings, 15th in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers.

TE: Dwayne Allen ($3,800)

Dwayne Allen is the Indianapolis Colts' best tight end. Coby Fleener filled in nicely while Allen was out, but Allen's skill set is much greater. In a game that will be a shootout against the Dallas Cowboys, Allen will rack up the receptions and yards. T.Y. Hilton is listed as questionable and Reggie Wayne hasn't been himself in recent weeks. Allen has eight touchdowns on the season and should score No. 9 on Sunday.

WRs: Julian Edelman ($6,500), Jordan Matthews ($5,100), DeSean Jackson ($5,500)

Julian Edelman has hauled in 33 passes in the last four games. In a PPR league, like Draft Kings, 33 extra points will make a difference. Plus, the New York Jets defense is poor. Jordan Matthews has flourished with Mark Sanchez under center. The Philadelphia Eagles need to win this game, which will lead to a high score. On the opposite team, DeSean Jackson torched his former team in Week 3, 5/117/1. All three will haul in a ton of passes.

RBs: C.J. Anderson ($6,900), Mark Ingram ($6,100)

Regardless of who is the running back for the Denver Broncos, that player always seems to succeed. He's carried the ball 109 times and will easily carry it 26 more times against the Cincinnati Bengals, allowing the 10th-most rushing yards per game. In what looked like a fantasy nightmare, Mark Ingram has outplayed his teammates. Ingram carried the ball 17 times last week. Against the 32nd-ranked rush defense, it won't get any easier for Ingram.

QB: Matt Ryan ($7,400)

Matt Ryan has been known to be a better quarterback at home than on the road. However, in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers, he had his second-best fantasy game this season. His best game? Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints at home. Julio Jones will most likely be ready to play this game, which only helps Ryan's fantasy value. The Saints pass defense is one of the worst in the league, 29th in passing yards per game.
