Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Jan. 14

It's Super Wednesday once again and there are a lot of great contests on FanDuel that can help fatten your wallet. This includes the Super Slam tournament where $ 30,000 will be rewarded to first place. Therefore, it is essential to do the proper research in order to build the perfect lineup for tonight. There are many ways to go about doing this, and I will show you one of them that should help you cash in big. Let's get to work.

The curse of Josh Smith must have been cast on Brandon Jennings the strongest. I say this because ever since the Detroit Pistons parted ways with Smith, Jennings has gone off and performed in accordance to his first-round draft pick status. Over his last seven games, he has averaged 39 fantasy points and faces a New Orleans Pelicans team tonight that may be without Jrue Holiday. This will help Jennings out even more to score at least 35 tonight.

To say that fellow Bronx native Kemba Walker is on fire would be an understatement. Ever since Al Jefferson and Lance Stephenson went down with injuries, Walker has been the focal point of the Charlotte Hornets' offense, and he has made the most of his opportunity. Over his past five games, he has averaged 46.6 fantasy points and gets to face a San Antonio Spurs team that's struggling to guard PGs lately. I like Walker to score 40-plus.

7. (SG) Victor Oladipo - Orlando Magic - $6900

The last time that I recommended Victor Oladipo, he went off for 40.3 fantasy points and exceeded his value tremendously. Facing the Houston Rockets tonight, in what should be high-paced game, bodes well for the former Indiana Hoosier to flirt with the 40-fantasy point mark again. James Harden is not known for playing shutdown defense and, even though he will be scoring a bunch, Oladipo can and will return the favor. He is good for at least 34.

Here we go again with another Sweet Lou hot streak, and you'd better hop on board before he cools off again. Over his past five games, he has averaged 24.7 fantasy points and needs about 26 to justify his price tonight. His matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers is a great opportunity for him to continue his streak as they have struggled to defend the SG position all season long. Williams should score at least 24 with 30-plus upside.

5. (SF) Nicolas Batum - Portland Trail Blazers - $6100

I remember last month when I would avoid Nic Batum like the plague due to his underwhelming performances. It didn't make matters better when it was discovered that he was having issues with his shooting wrist. However, he has started off 2015 very well and has averaged 26.4 fantasy points so far for the year. His production is trending up, and he has a great chance to score 30-plus against a Los Angeles Clippers team that struggles against SFs.

4. (SF) Jae Crowder - Boston Celtics - $4600

Jae Crowder has clearly become a major beneficiary from the trading of Jeff Green to the Memphis Grizzlies. In his first game with 30-plus minutes, Crowder went off for 42.1 fantasy points and proved to be the value play of that night. Tonight's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks will make it tougher for him to score 40-plus again, but the Hawks have been playing only average defense against SFs lately. Crowder should score 23-plus.

3. (PF) Dirk Nowitzki - Dallas Mavericks - $7000

Dirk Nowitzki flirts with 30 fantasy points on a nightly basis which makes him a safe play. His current rate suggests that he needs to score 35 fantasy points to justify his price, and he has a great opportunity to do so against a Denver Nuggets team currently ranked 17th against opposing PFs. Denver has played the position well lately, but they haven't faced a good PF since Jan. 1. Therefore, he should score 35-plus tonight and exceed value.

2. (PF) J.J. Hickson - Denver Nuggets - $4400

Ever since the Timofey Mozgov trade, J.J. Hickson has averaged 26 minutes of court time and will continue to do so until JaVale McGee is ready to return to the rotation. Therefore, Hickson makes for a great salary relief play against a Dallas Mavericks team ranked 21st against opposing PFs. They have also been defending the position even worse lately, and Hickson, who needs 22 fantasy points to make value, should score at least 25 tonight.

I know there isn't any data that firmly proves revenge factor as a quantifiable performance indicator in fantasy sports. However, I'm pretty sure that most fantasy players have seen revenge game scenarios play out favorably for most players facing their former team. This is due to the extra motivation a player has to show his team how much they should miss him. Therefore, against the Orlando Magic, start Dwight Howard and enjoy the 40-plus.
