The NASCAR storylines for 2015 are already piling up, especially with Jeff Gordon announcing his impending retirement. The year in fantasy NASCAR is shaping up to be just as exciting with a number of drivers looking to have a breakout season on the track.

The grandson of Richard Childress is no longer a rookie. Dillon could be the beneficiary of Team Childress' improvement down the stretch in 2014. Ryan Newman's late-season surge will help Dillon be one of the most improved drivers in the field. He is already a corporate star, so it is time to be a star on the track.

4. Carl Edwards

Edwards will not be considered a breakout candidate to some because he is a known commodity, but he was not satisfied with 2014. It was an inconsistent, frustrating last year at Roush Fenway and he has jumped to Joe Gibbs Racing this year. There will be some adjustment with the new team, sponsor and manufacturer. There is no doubt that Edwards' confidence will be very high.

3. Kyle Larson

Larson made a big impact in his rookie season and some believe he is a championship contender in 2015. He is coming off a team victory at the Rolex 24 with Jamie McMurray. He beat Dillon for the series' Rookie of the Year honors last season and is being mentioned as a future legend. Larson also has a new child as a motivating factor.

2. Reed Sorenson

Sorenson is the longshot breakout star. Zing Zang just renewed its sponsorship last week. but will not be on the car until late March. He had eight top-25 finishes last season for Tommy Baldwin Racing and has a good shot to record just as many inside the top-20 this year. Sorenson has a new lease on life and would be a good driver to fill out the back end of your lineup.

It's been four years since Bayne won the Daytona 500 in just his second career start. He is finally in a full-time ride with Roush Fenway this season. His crew chief will be Edwards' longtime pit boss Bob Osborne. The resources Bayne will have at his disposal will make him a contender at Daytona, and should keep him in the hunt all year.
