Kyrie Irving thought that this season was going to be the pinnacle of his career. He went from being the big fish in a little pond to playing with LeBron James and Kevin Love. He isn't doing too well so far, at least as much as one would have hoped. He is only averaging 19.9 points per game, which ranks him 10th in the NBA.

Jeff Teague is the reason why the Atlanta Hawks have been on a tear throughout the Eastern Conference. The biggest surprise in the NBA this season, the Hawks have propelled themselves to first place. Teague has been very good on the real life court, but only decent in fantasy. He is averaging 20.6 points per contest so far this season.

The Denver Nuggets have not had the best season, sitting at eight games under .500. Ty Lawson has been one of the few bright spots on the roster. He is currently averaging 21.7 points per game. Who knows what his future holds, but for now, he is seventh in the league as far as fantasy point guards go.

6. Kyle Lowry

Kyle Lowry was possibly the best point guard in fantasy to start off the season. Unfortunately, he has been in a slump as of late. He's scored under 20 fantasy points in five of the last six games. He ranks this high based on the fact that he could turn it around and become what he was to start the year.

5. Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook might've be No. 1 on this list if he hadn't been injured for a portion of the season. He is averaging 25.9 points per game, which is only good for third in the league. He wouldn't have to wait to get fully healed to get back into the swing of things. He averaged 29 over the last four games and scored 51 six games ago.

4. Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard has grown into an amazing point guard. He has been up and down as far as fantasy points. He does qualify for both point guard and shooting guard, which helps his value. He is still a very good asset to have on any team.

Chris Paul is scoring points at a 26.9 points-per-game clip. That puts him smack dab in between LeBron James and Kevin Durant on the NBA list. In case you didn't notice, those are the last two MVP winners. Paul is having a great season for the Clippers, and would be No. 1 in most years.
