Building The Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Feb. 11

Ladies and gentlemen, it's Super Wednesday once again and it will be the last major night of FanDuel action until the All-Star break. There are 12 games to sift through and over 1,200 possible ways that the perfect lineup can be created tonight. I'm about to show you the path I decided to take for tonight's action, and hopefully it will be able to help you out with your lineup decisions. Let's take a look at how it's done.

9. (PG) Chris Paul - Los Angeles Clippers - $10,000

I debated hard about whether I wanted to spend $ 10,000 on Chris Paul or Stephen Curry tonight, as both players are in games that should be high scoring. However, without Blake Griffin in the Clippers' lineup, I feel that CP3 is the top PG play for tonight. Over his last three games, he has averaged 48.7 fantasy points, and I feel he's poised for a 50-plus explosion tonight. Patrick Beverley's defensive presence won't stop Paul tonight.

8. (PG) Elfrid Payton - Orlando Magic - $5,800

Over his last four games, Elfrid Payton has averaged 28 fantasy points, and he will need to score 29 in order to make value tonight. The last time he faced the New York Knicks, he produced 31.1 fantasy points and clearly exceeded his value for that night. Tonight bodes well for him to repeat that performance since the Knicks struggle to defend PGs and are ranked 20th in that regard over their last three contests.

7. (SG) James Harden - Houston Rockets - $11,200

James Harden's abuse of NBA defenses continued last night against the Phoenix Suns as he exploded for 70-plus fantasy points. Over his last five games, he's averaged 54.5 fantasy points and refuses to ease up on his case as a league MVP candidate. Tonight, in a game with a 213 over/under line against a Los Angeles Clippers team that can't defend athletic wings, Harden is poised for at least 45 fantasy points with 60-plus upside.

6. (SG) J.J. Redick - Los Angeles Clippers - $4,300

In his first game back after missing the previous three, J.J. Redick produced 23.9 fantasy points while logging 31 minutes. For his price, he exceeded value and has a great chance to do it again tonight against the Houston Rockets. Over their last three games, Houston is ranked 28th against opposing SGs and plenty of scoring will be happening in this matchup. I like Redick to score at least 20, but he could surprise us all and drop 30-plus.

5. (SF) Trevor Ariza - Houston Rockets - $5,500

You all may notice a theme with my lineup tonight and that is to have as much exposure to the Clippers/Rockets matchup as possible. Therefore, staying true to this approach, Trevor Ariza is the first SF I decided to go with. It's already been noted that the Clippers don't defend athletic wings well, and Ariza has been averaging 31.4 fantasy points over his last five contests. I feel that he will score between 25 and 35 fantasy points tonight.

4. (SF) James Johnson - Toronto Raptors - $4,000

Over his last two games, including the last one where he started, James Johnson has averaged 26.7 fantasy points. This is a great sign since he seemed to be in the doghouse over the past few games and was seeing very little time on the court. Tonight, facing a Washington Wizards team that's been ranked 24th against opposing SFs over their last three games, is a nice setup for Johnson to exceed value again with a 23-plus performance.

3. (PF) Josh Smith - Houston Rockets - $6,100

Josh Smith has arguably been the biggest beneficiary from the absence of Dwight Howard. Over his past four games, he has averaged 34.3 fantasy points, and he now gets to face a Los Angeles Clippers team that will struggle to stop him. As a matter of fact, the Clippers have been struggling to defend SFs and PFs lately, and Smith primarily plays in those two positions. I expect him to have another 30-plus outing tonight.

2. (PF) Mitch McGary - Oklahoma City Thunder - $4,300

Due to Steven Adams getting injured, the minutes have opened up for Mitch McGary, and he has taken full advantage of his opportunity. Over his past two games, he's averaged 31 fantasy points and produced a double-double in both outings. Many will avoid him tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies - I won't. Memphis has been performing below average against PFs lately and McGary will face their second unit more than the first. I like him for 25-plus.

1. (C) DeAndre Jordan - Los Angeles Clippers - $8,600

Many thought that the absence of Blake Griffin would affect DeAndre Jordan in a negative way, but they have been wrong about that so far. After his 62.4-fantasy point explosion against the Dallas Mavericks in his last game, Jordan seems poised to have a similar night against a Houston Rockets team without Dwight Howard. Granted, I don't expect another 60-burger, but Jordan should have no issues scoring at least 35 with 45-plus upside.
