To help you pick your fantasy squad this week, here are five fantasy NASCAR drivers to avoid at the 2015 Daytona 500.

5. Martin Truex Jr.

Truex Jr. may be coming off an impressive second place finish at the Sprint Unlimited last weekend, but he has been far from consistent at Daytona throughout his career. He finished 43rd at the Daytona 500 in 2014, 24th in 2013 and 19th in 2011. MTJ is simply too risky to trust this year at the D-500.

4. Tony Stewart

Stewart finished 35th and 40th at Daytona last season. The veteran is in a serious slump and hasn't been a viable fantasy option for some time. He will be a long shot to even crack the top-15 this week in Daytona.

3. Kasey Kahne

Kahne is another driver that has struggled on this track in recent years. He hasn't cracked the top-25 in Daytona in the past four races, including three finishes outside of the top-30. There are much better options out there.

2. Clint Bowyer

Bowyer has notoriously struggled at Daytona throughout his illustrious career. The veteran has an average finish of 15.9 on this track and has never won a race here in 18 attempts. This is one week to avoid CB at all costs.

1. Carl Edwards

Edwards has had serious problems at Daytona over the past few seasons. In his last four full races on this track, he finished 17th, 37th, 33rd and 29th. Regardless of where he qualifies, Edwards won't be worth the asking price this weekend in Florida.
