Building The Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Feb. 21

After last night's large slate of 13 NBA games, we only have five to deal with tonight in order to build the perfect FanDuel lineup. Tonight should be the first night that many of the players that were traded should be available for action tonight. However, please make sure to stay constantly up-to-date on the latest news to avoid selecting players that end up inactive. With that being said, let's get to work and build tonight's perfect lineup.

Over his last 10 games, Russell Westbrook has failed to eclipse the 40-fantasy point barrier twice. He has an excellent chance of eclipsing 50 tonight as Kevin Durant has been officially ruled out for tonight's contest against the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte's defense against opposing PGs is average at best and now they get to face one of the world's elite players in Westbrook. He needs to score 55 to make value tonight and he may score more.

This situation will need close monitoring to ensure he plays, but it appears that Goran Dragic will be making his debut for the Miami Heat tonight. Based on the fact that they traded a lot to get him, it's a given that he will have a lot of usage in the offense. He gets to face a New Orleans Pelicans team that's average against PGs and experiencing recent struggles against the position. Dragic should be good for 25 to 35 in his debut.

Jamal Crawford has been playing with a hot hand lately and has scored no less than 25 fantasy points over his last five games. He has a great chance for a big night tonight against the Sacramento Kings as they're ranked 29th in defensive efficiency against opposing SGs. Additionally, they've actually performed worse in that regard over their last five games. This bodes well for J-Crossover to score 30-plus for a third straight game.

(SG) J.J. Redick - Los Angeles Clippers - $4500

With an over-under of 215, it's wise to get some exposure to the Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings game. This was already done with Jamal Crawford, but I have no issues double-dipping into the Clippers' SG pool. J.J. Redick needs to score 22.5 to make value and he's been averaging 24.8 over his last three games. As previously mentioned, the Kings are horrendous at guarding SGs and Redick should score 24-plus easily.

(SF) Luol Deng - Miami Heat - $5900

If you followed my advice yesterday, then you should have been pleased with the 33.6-fantasy point output from Luol Deng. His matchup tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans is even more favorable than his matchup last night against the New York Knicks. The Pelicans are ranked 27th against opposing SFs and I like Deng's chances of having his third straight 30-plus performance in as many games against them.

Ever since Kemba Walker went down, Gerald Henderson's usage percentage has spiked considerably. This is evident by his current streak of four straight games with 30 fantasy points or more. He will continue to shoulder extra offensive responsibilities and, even in a less than ideal matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight, I feel he will score at least 27 with the potential to his extend his 30-plus streak to five games.

(PF) Markieff Morris - Phoenix Suns - $6200

I've made it a habit this season to select PFs playing against the Chicago Bulls, since they've proven that they don't defend the position well. Over the course of the season, they're ranked 23rd in that regard and this bodes well for Markieff Morris who had a 42.8-fantasy point performance last night. I don't expect him to score 40-plus tonight, but he should be able to score 30-plus which is what he did in his last meeting with the Bulls.

If I'm going to pick on the Chicago Bulls, then I might as well go all-in. Therefore, I'm going to roster both Morris twins against the Bulls tonight. Not only do I like the matchup for Marcus Morris, but I love his price since he only needs to score 19.5 in order to make value. He scored 22.5 in his last meeting against the Bulls and I feel that he can repeat that performance tonight with the potential for 26-plus if he gets a few more minutes.

Along with Russell Westbrook, DeMarcus Cousins is my other premium-priced player of choice for tonight. He averages over 36 fantasy points per game in his career against the Los Angeles Clippers and that includes an incredible output of 64.8 against them back in November. He seems to have DeAndre Jordan's number when these two teams face and I expect no less than 40 fantasy points from him with 52-plus upside.
