Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Feb. 28

Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Feb. 28

Yesterday's lineup, despite suffering from the untimely announcement of LeBron James being out, still scored more than 280 points and clearly showed 320-plus potential if The King suited up. However, there's no time to dwell on that now, as there are seven games for tonight's NBA slate. As always, there are many ways to build the perfect FanDuel lineup for tonight, and I'm about to show you one of those ways. Let's make tonight special.

We all know that John Wall is always a great start at home, and lately he's been taking more shots in order to make up for the absence of Brad Beal. Additionally, tonight is a huge night for the psyche of the Washington Wizards, as they're currently going through a six-game losing streak. I expect Wall to do his best to play hero tonight, and this should equate to at least 35 fantasy points with 45-plus upside.

(PG) Ricky Rubio - Minnesota Timberwolves - $7,300

Over his last five games, Ricky Rubio has averaged 38.2 fantasy points and has played exceptional basketball since he's been getting 30-plus minutes on the court. Tonight, in what might seem like a questionable matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, I really like his chances to score 30-plus again. Memphis has been struggling against PGs recently by allowing 21 PPG, 11.3 APG and 3.0 SPG over their last three games. Rubio should score at least 33.

(SG) Eric Bledsoe - Phoenix Suns - $8,900

Eric Bledsoe gets to face the San Antonio Spurs tonight in a back-to-back situation for them. This usually leads to older Spurs players being rested, and this will give Bledsoe an additional advantage in what was already a decent matchup for him. It also helps that the Spurs have been struggling to defend guards lately, and that he scored 62.1 fantasy points in his last game. I feel he will score at least 35 with 40-plus upside.

(SG) Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - Detroit Pistons - $5,100

Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond aren't the only young Detroit Pistons players who have been performing well lately. Over his last five games, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been averaging 28.1 fantasy points and he gets to face a Washington Wizards team that's been struggling to guard SGs. Brad Beal returns tonight, which should help them improve with that effort, but I still like KCP's chances to score at least 25 with 30-plus upside.

After a concerning streak of subpar performances, Kawhi Leonard seems to be back to his stat-stuffing ways. He has averaged 37.5 fantasy points over his last two games, and his current price indicates that he needs to score 35.5 in order to make value. In what should be a fast-paced game against the Phoenix Suns, Leonard has a great chance to eclipse 30 for his third straight game, and he may flirt with 40-plus.

Chandler Parsons has been ruled out for tonight's matchup, which means that Richard Jefferson will most likely get the start again in his absence. Jefferson has averaged 19.4 fantasy points over his last three games, and his minimum salary price indicates that he only needs to score 17.5 to make value. Facing his old franchise in the Brooklyn Nets should have him extra motivated tonight, and I feel he will score at least 20 to exceed value.

After eclipsing 30 fantasy points for four straight games, Zach Randolph hit a slight bump in the road of his production in his next two games, where he scored under 30. However, he got back on track in his most recent game with a 33.5 fantasy point performance, and he has an excellent chance to score a similar number against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. Minnesota struggles against PFs and Z-Bo should flirt with 40 tonight.

(PF) Andrea Bargnani - New York Knicks - $4,000

Regardless of how anyone may feel about his overall ability, the numbers don't lie and Andrea Bargnani has been playing good basketball for the New York Knicks lately. This includes a 49.4-fantasy point explosion in his last game where he got the start over Jason Smith. He gets to face his former team in the Toronto Raptors tonight, and it wouldn't shock me if a motivated Bargnani scored at least 30-35 fantasy points against them.

Until his price gets into the mid-$7,000 range, I feel that Rudy Gobert is a near auto-start in any matchup lately. Due to his insane shot-blocking ability, strong rebounding skills and an improving offensive skillset, Gobert seems like a nightly threat for 30-plus. He gets to face the Milwaukee Bucks tonight, who have been giving up a ton of rebounds lately, which bodes well for the Stifle Tower to eclipse 30 for his fourth straight game.
