Sometimes it is tough to get over the big names in the NBA because of reputation. A lot of these veterans hold that reputation and sometimes you need to just move on. Here are the top 10 veterans who just can't be trusted anymore.

Not many trusted Smith in the first place, but the days of him being a high-flying prolific shot-blocker and dunker are over. Get used to Smith being a consistent bench player and possibly out of the league in a few short years.

Unfortunately for Lee, all the injuries have caught up to him. He was once a 20 PPG and 10 RPG player, but he's far from that now. He doesn't even average double-digit points any longer and his time as a valuable big man is over.

8. Paul Pierce

Pierce used to be a superstar, but with his old age he is now a valuable role player for the Washington Wizards. He will still be helpful in a playoff run, but Pierce will rarely put up consistent fantasy-worthy statistics.

7. Brook Lopez

Lopez is a skilled center who rebounds poorly. He hasn't been healthy since college, and it appears he never will be for the long run. You simply just can't put Lopez on the list of top centers anymore.

Has anyone fallen off as hard as Deron Williams? Just a few short years ago he was in the argument for best point-guard in the league. Now he's an overpaid veteran who can't stay healthy. Williams has taken a serious decline.

5. Tony Parker

Parker is having his worst scoring and assisting season since his rookie year, and it's only going to go downhill from here. When watching a Spurs game, you can really see Parker's age has caught up to him. It's time to move on from Tim Duncan's running mate.

4. Rajon Rondo

Everyone thought Rondo would be a steal for the Dallas Mavericks when they acquired him, but he's been the opposite of that. His numbers are down, and it looks like Rondo is a shell of himself. He still will put up near triple-double statistics on occasion, but his days of consistent stardom have ended.

3. Dwight Howard

Howard is still a 17 PPG and 11 RPG player, but his superstar days are over. He's having his lowest per game scoring, rebounding and shot-blocking totals since his early Orlando Magic days. Combine that with his numerous back injuries over the past few seasons and we truly are witnessing the decline of a once great center.

Kobe Bryant seemed almost invincible up until the past few seasons. His age and injuries have caught up to him, and I don't think we'll ever see the same Bryant we used to love to watch. He's a top five player of all time, but it looks like Bryant's basketball days are numbered.

The story of Derrick Rose is arguably the saddest in the league. The former MVP suffered another injury to his knees, and now it looks like he's just fighting to stay in the league. We all would love to see Rose get back to his superstar ways, but I think the time for trusting Rose's health has ended.
