The third base position is filled with talent, but there are also a handful of injury risks at the hot corner as well. To help you identify the field, here are five third basemen who will be injury risks in the 2015 season.

Rodriguez may already be racking up singles for the Yanks, but the super veteran has 9,818 career at-bats under his belt. The 39-year-old likely won’t even finish the season, so make sure to temper expectations for A-Rod in 2015.

Sandoval made a big splash this season by heading to Boston. Unfortunately, he has only played in 145 or more games in one of the last four seasons. He has once again come into camp out of shape and it seems like only a matter of time until he has to spend a chunk of the season on the DL.

Machado missed almost half the 2014 season as he recovered from the gruesome knee injury he suffered the year before. He played a long stretch before ending up on the DL with another knee injury. He will be a serious injury risk heading into the 2015 season.

Arenado incredibly slugged 34 doubles, two triples, 18 home runs and 61 RBIs in only 111 games in 2014. Unfortunately, he missed time with pneumonia and a broken finger. It limited the youngster to only 432 at-bats and left his overall value in question. He has all the potential in the world, but will come with some risk in 2015.

Longoria may have only missed two games over the past two seasons alone, but he missed significant time in the two previous seasons. The third baseman missed 88 games in 2012 and 29 games in 2011. He may seem like a durable fantasy option, but don't forget about his extensive injury history on draft day.
