The Houston Astros have been the laughing stock of fantasy world for the better part of a decade. They brought in some new faces during the offseason and the team will look completely different in 2015. To help you rank the talent, here are the top five fantasy baseball players on the Houston Astros.

McHugh was a surprising contributor in Houston last season. He finished with an 11-9 record to go along with an impressive 2.73 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. The 27-year-old won't see much run support in Houston, but the right-hander can still serve as a viable SP6 or SP7 in deeper formats.

Despite playing in a platoon in Atlanta, Gattis still smacked 20 homers in back-to-back seasons. The move to Houston will allow Gattis to take over the full-time job behind the plate. Gattis does have a tendency to strikeout, as he has been sat down 178 times in 213 contests. He is also rather unpolished, which only makes him more of a risk. There is no need to reach for the 28-year-old this spring.

Carter is one of the most underrated power-hitters in all of fantasy. He posted 29 HRs and 82 RBIs in 2013 and followed it up with 37 HRs and 88 RBIs last season. Houston has Carter at the DH spot, which allows him to simply focus on hitting. Another 20-plus homers seems all but guaranteed for the veteran.

Springer struggled at time during his rookie season. He ended the year with a lackluster .231 batting average and struck out 1.46 times per game. However, he also posted a .336 OBP to go along with 20 HRs and 51 RBIs in only 78 games. Springer is on the verge of an All-Star campaign and this may be the last time the young slugger comes this cheaply.

After two straight seasons with a batting average over .280, Altuve shockingly led the majors with a .341 average. The 24-year-old also struck out only 53 times in 660 at-bats. He is one of the toughest outs in baseball and will be a nice consolation prize for anyone who doesn't land Robinson Cano in the second round.
