2016 Fantasy Baseball: 5 Third Base Sleepers

One of the best power positions in fantasy baseball is third base. The hot corner has some of the top sluggers in fantasy, and as a result, there are some serious value picks to be found in the middle of the draft. So to help you pick the best possible squad this spring, here are five third base sleepers for the 2016 season.

5. David Wright, New York Mets

Wright was not only a perennial All-Star for most of his career, but he was also a fixture among the top-five third basemen. Unfortunately, injuries have caused his stock to drop and Captain America is no longer a starting option, but the veteran could be a steal as a late-round flyer.

4. Justin Turner, Los Angeles Dodgers

Despite sitting on the wavier wire for the majority of the 2015 season, Turner still had a strong season. He hit 16 home runs and 60 RBI in 128 games to go along with a gaudy .294 batting average. Turner has proven that he can fill the box score on a weekly basis.

3. Maikel Franco, Philadelphia Phillies

In only 80 games last season, Franco managed to finish with 14 HRs, 50 RBI, 45 runs scored and a .280 batting average. The young slugger truly has 100-30-100 potential in Philly and will be a bargain anywhere outside of the top-five third basemen this spring.

2. Kyle Seager, Seattle Mariners

Seager has quietly hit the 20-HR plateau in four straight seasons, including a career-high 26 longballs in 2015. He will never hit .300, but the UNC product has the potential to finish as a top-five 3B.

1. Todd Frazier, Chicago White Sox

Frazier has been showing up on a good deal of bust lists this offseason, but I think that is a bit premature. He still smacked a staggering 35 homers last season to go along with 89 RBI. He will have more protection in Chicago, so expect similar numbers from Frazier in 2016.
