(P) Joe Ross - Washington Nationals - $6,800

Joe Ross will make his 2016 debut against the Miami Marlins today in what should be a good spot for him. He allowed an extremely low wOBA of .205 to RHBs last season and only seemed to struggle against LHBs on the road. Today will be a home game for him, and he was able to handle LHBs much better in that situation. This should lead to him pitching six IPs with six Ks while giving up a run or two. He should also get the win.

(C) Stephen Vogt - Oakland Athletics - $2,500

Some of you may be wondering why I didn't select someone like Buster Posey or Salvador Perez for my catcher. Both players are in good situations, but Stephen Vogt is in a better one. It may not seem ideal since he'll be facing Felix Hernandez, but Vogt has hit very well against him before. He is batting .524 against him over 21 ABs and has yet to strike out. Therefore, I predict at least XBH from him with an RBI or run scored.

I really wanted to use David Ortiz yesterday, but unfortunately he wasn't in the lineup. Thankfully, he will be batting clean-up today and gets to face Marco Estrada. Estrada is returning from an injury, and the Red Sox should welcome him back with a few runs. Big Papi will be at the forefront of this attack and already has two HRs against Estrada in his career. Today, he will make it three.

(2B) Chase Utley - Los Angeles Dodgers - $2,600

Chase Utley was out of the Dodgers' lineup yesterday due to LHP Madison Bumgarner being on the mound. However, he should be back out there today against Johnny Cueto. Utley is off to a hot start this season and has a very good history against Cueto. He is batting .417 against him over 24 ABs with two HRs, eight singles and K-rate of eight percent. This bodes well for Utley to be very productive tonight.

(3B) Nolan Arenado - Colorado Rockies - $5,000

In my opinion, Nolan Arenado is the best third baseman in MLB, and he will put on an offensive display today. He will be facing James Shields in the hitter-friendly Coors Field and it's a great matchup for him. Arenado is 10-for-20 against Shields with three HRs, six singles and a double. The only negative is that he also has a K-rate of 23.8 percent against Shields, but that won't matter today. Arenado will hit at least one HR.

(SS) Alcides Escobar - Kansas City Royals - $2,300

Shortstop was a little difficult for me today, but then I found a value gem in Alcides Escobar. He has a decent .323 wOBA so far this season and will face Ricky Nolasco today. Escobar is batting .368 against him over 19 ABs and has yet to strike out. This bodes well for him to register a couple of base hits, score a couple of runs and perhaps get a stolen base or two.

(OF) Bryce Harper - Washington Nationals - $5,200

Just like he was last Sunday, Bryce Harper is once again my top play for today. He is off to a phenomenal start with a .551 wOBA and a K-rate of zero. His opponent today will be Tom Koehler, and Harper has been very successful against him in terms of power. He is 8-for-28 against Koehler in which six of those hits were HRs. I would be shocked if Harper didn't hit his third HR of the season today.

(OF) Gregory Polanco - Pittsburgh Pirates - $3,400

Gregory Polanco has been the best hitter for the Pittsburgh Pirates over the first week of the season. Not only does he have a .470 wOBA with an ISO of .214, but his BB-rate is an insane 31.8 percent right now. He will face Tim Melville today in what's a good spot for him. Melville struggled against LHBs more in the minor leagues which doesn't bode well for him against Polanco. He should register two hits and at least one RBI.

I already stated that the Boston Red Sox were going to score some runs against Marco Estrada today and that's why David Ortiz was selected. Another Boston player I like is Jackie Bradley despite his .210 wOBA to start the season. He has only faced Estrada once and that led to a HR. I'm not saying that he will hit another one, but he'll be productive with an XBH, a BB and at least one run scored.
