2016 Fantasy Baseball: 5 Bats To Buy Low After Week 1

We are only in the second week of the fantasy baseball season, but it never hurts to try to make a deal. Some bats have started the season on fire (Jean Segura, Trevor Story, Tyler White, etc.), while others have had a difficult time making contact. Some guys need time to develop their swing and simply have a tough time hitting during the cold months of April. So to help you find some undervalued bats, here are five hitters to buy low after Week 1 of the fantasy baseball season.

Davis was on fire in the second half of last season. He hit only six home runs before the All-Star break, but turned it up to post 21 home runs and 48 RBI after the turn. He was dealt to the Athletics in the offseason, and even though he hasn’t hit a home run yet in 2016, he is due to explode in the next few weeks. Grab him for next to nothing before the slugger's price skyrockets.

However, the veteran will be back atop Washington’s lineup in a little over a week and will be worth scooping up for cheap in mixed leagues. He has a career .295 batting average and 55 stolen bases over the last two seasons alone. He will be a solid OF3 across the board upon his return.

Sano was one of the most popular sleeper picks this spring, but the kid’s .130 batting average is extremely hard to look at right now. Luckily, Sano has plenty of time to turn things around. He is more of a warm-weather hitter and the youngster will go on a tear before too long. Sano should be a high priority trade target this week, especially in any type of dynasty format.

Sano was one of the most popular sleeper picks this spring, but the kid’s .130 batting average is extremely hard to look at right now. Luckily, Sano has plenty of time to turn things around. Jones missed the past few games with a mysterious injury, but the former All-Star returned to action Wednesday night in Boston. Jones may only hitting .200 on the year and the slugger has yet to hit a home run, but we all know they are coming. Make a deal for him this week while you still can.

Tulowitzki had a strong 2015 season, but he actuality he hit a meager .239 over 41 games in Toronto. He is similarly hitting .125 so far this season and many fantasy fans are starting to think that this is an alarming trend. However, I am not one of them. Tulo is an extremely patient hitter and will come around sooner rather than later. Tulo could be pried away from a nervous owner who has been watching too many Trevor Story highlights.
