Point Guard

Stephen Curry $20,450

Curry and the Warriors scored a season-low 86 points at home against the Celtics last game, so expect them to come out with some vengeance. Stephen Curry was one of the only guys who played well on Wednesday, scoring 23 points. He gets one of the better match-ups on the team tonight, as Ricky Rubio is far from a great perimeter defender. Curry should go for the throat tonight and I could see him topping 40 real-life points. He also may not be too highly owned, as there are some great options very close in price. This game figures to be very high-scoring and I definitely expect it to be close. Curry is my top option at PG in both cash games and tournaments. He has a 40 point floor and a 75 point ceiling, especially without Durant.

Jeremy Lin $11,250

You may be a little hesitant to play Lin due to his horrible injury past. However, it looks like he is fully healthy and the Nets are willing to play him pretty healthy minutes. He’s actually a very good DFS player when he gets minutes, as shown by his 1.5 FP per minute earlier in the season. He takes on a Dallas team that has struggled against PG’s since Yogi Ferrell took the helm, ranking 26th in the league. Lin has no problem shooting a ton of times and his price is just too cheap on DraftDay for how many minutes he should get. He should be pretty low-owned and makes for a very interesting play across the board.

Shooting Guard

Jimmy Butler $20,450

Jimmy Butler and the Bulls take on the Rockets tonight, who play fast and lack defensive ability. Butler has to carry the load on offense for the Bulls, as nobody else can score or do anything else for that matter, consistently. He said just a few days ago that he needed to shoot more and he has followed suit. I would expect another solid night out of Butler in what figures to be a competitive game in Chicago. Butler will be the only way the Bulls stay in it and should be able to put up 45-60 fantasy points.

Khris Middleton $11,850

Middleton is a guy who I will write up until he sees a big price bump, as he is a guy who should be around 13-14k on DraftDay. He is coming off of an injury and it finally looks like he’s back to full health. Middleton has been sitting around 30 every single game and his minutes will only go up as the days move along. He has the potential to see 33-35 minutes tonight and hit 40 fantasy points, which is more than you need at his price across the industry. Paul George will be on Giannis, which will leave a bad defender on Middleton, no matter what. He will have success here and is a safe play in all formats.

Small Forward

Andrew Wiggins $14,750

Wiggins is one of my favorite players on this slate on DraftDay. He is a lock for at least 40 minutes if Thibs has anything to say about it. The Warriors will likely throw Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala at Wiggins, who are both good defenders. However, Wiggins is a GREAT scorer. This is a guy who can shoot 25 times and score 40 points easily, especially in a fast-paced game with the Warriors. He is also just a bit too cheap for me on DraftDay, as I think his floor in this game is 40 fantasy points. His ceiling is huge and I don’t think we have seen it just yet. Wiggins is the top option for me at SF in both cash games and tournaments.

Harrison Barnes $12,900

Not much needs to be said here. The top player on the team against the absolute worst defense in the league. Barnes has been very consistent all season long, typically sitting around 30 fantasy points. I expect around 40 tonight, which is more than enough in both cash games and tournaments at just 12.9k. Barnes is one of the safer options on the board for his price and you can play him everywhere. While he may end up being highly owned, it makes sense. This is likely the best match-up possible for Barnes, especially with the Nets trading away Bojan Bogdanovic.

Power Forward

Wilson Chandler $12,700

Wilson Chandler has been playing great over the last 2 games, shooting a ton and seeing big minutes. Chandler is a guy who has huge upside, as shown just 2 games ago hitting almost 70 fantasy points. This match-up with the Celtics should be a good one, as they struggle to cover the 3 point line and give it up to power forwards, especially ones that can stretch the floor. Chandler is really more of a SF playing PF, so it could be super tough for guys like Amir Johnson or Jonas Jerebko to stay with him.

Nerlens Noel $11,700

Noel is a guy who is a tournament only option, as his minutes have been a bit inconsistent of late. However, if he does see the minutes, he is a lock to produce in this match-up. The Nets have been pitiful against centers all season long, ranking 29th in the league. He has a ceiling around 60, though that is definitely pushing it. He also has a 10 point floor, so stay away in cash games. Noel will be one of my higher owned players on DraftDay in tournaments. He should come in under 20% owned and has the upside to win a tourney.

Center

Karl-Anthony Towns $20,950

KAT is definitely gonna cost you a pretty penny tonight, but he might be worth it. He might be one of the only big men in the league who can keep up with the Warriors crazy pace. Towns is also far too big and skilled for anyone on the Warriors to cover. While Draymond Green is a phenomenal defender, he is 5 inches smaller than Towns and 60 pounds lighter. Like Wiggins, Tom Thibedeau will push Towns to play close to 40 minutes in a very important game against the Warriors. Towns has been scoring way over 1 FP per minute and should be close to 2 or 3 FP in this one. While he certainly isn’t a must play due to his price, I will have Towns almost everywhere.

Mason Plumlee $10,100

With Jokic still questionable and missing practice, I would expect him to sit at least 1 more game with the flu. If he does play, you can ignore this. With Jokic out, Plumlee has seen big minutes and produced. Jokic plays a huge role in this offense and Plumlee has done a good job of being a Jokic-lite over the last couple games. This match-up with the Celtics is one where he should be able to dominate, as they are one of the league’s worst against big men. If Jokic misses, Plumlee is extremely safe and has plenty of upside.
