I saw this a few days ago and left it thinking that another blogger would pick it up, but no one has and it’s just too good not to share.
Not only are hockey players and fans passionate about the game, but obviously so are the guys / gals announcing it (and I know that all too well from spending many years listening to Mike Lange want to “sell my monkey!”). This call comes from Daryl “Razor” Reaugh, the announcer for the Dallas Stars. It’s from last Thursday’s Stars game against the Calgary Flames in which the Stars won in overtime by a score of 3-2 after Dallas Stars forward Mike Ribeiro scored this goal. You have to wait until about :13 into the video when they replay it, but thanks to YAHOO! PUCK DADDY, here’s the play-by-play (of the play-by-play) – nothing left to the imagination with this:
“Six shades of sexy.”
“Round the house … pull it in … pull its pants down and SPANK it home.”
“There’s the manipulation up top; here comes the stimulation — KABANG!”
This is a goal-scoring call in all it’s [sexual] glory and I think we all just had too much of a glimpse into Reaugh’s sex life (or lack of one?). If they were all called like this, I think that the NHL would possibly be more popular and most fans would need to end every game with a cold shower or a long smoke (or both).
