Detroit Red Wings enforcer Niklas Kronwall has developed a reputation as one of the NHL’s biggest hitters.
Tonight’s obliteration of Philadelphia Flyers right winger Jakub Voracek is the type of hit that turns a reputation into pure fear.
Kronwall shoulder checked Voracek straight to the ice as he was skating head down along the boards, halfway through the second period of this evening’s game.
This hit is an early candidate for Hit of the Year and left Voracek’s bell rung as he left the game for good soon after receiving it.
