The Champions Tour will tee off Friday morning at the AT&T Championship on The TPC San Antonio Canyons Course. It should be all hands on deck, as this is the last opportunity for players to pad their stats prior to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship which begins next week in Scottsdale.

The TPC San Antonio Canyon Course is a par 72 layout in San Antonio,Texas that plays to just over 6900  yards, and was designed by master course designer Pete Dye. It is a typical Dye design of wide sweeping fairways, and stands of Oak, and Cedar trees, complete with panoramic canyon views. The tournament has a total purse of $1.85 Million dollars, with the winner pocketing $270,000.

The Golf Channel will carry the action on tape delay each day through Sunday’s final crowning of a champion, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Eastern, begining on Friday. Fred Couples is your defending champion.

The AT&T is the players last chance to make the 30 man, Charles Schwab Cup field. With two wins on the year, and 15 top 10’s, Bernhard Langer is leading in points, followed closely by Tom Lehman, and Roger Chapman. On the bubble at the 30th position,  is John Huston. Just on the outside, and needing to get it done this weekend, are Loren Roberts, Steve Pate, and Tom Kite.
