TOUR Championship: Still Plenty to Be Decided With Final Rounds Pairings
In just a few short hours the final round of the TOUR Championship will get underway. The players will once again tee off in reverse order of the standings, which means that the leaders will be going off last. The pairings have reset every day, but Henrik Stenson has found himself in the last group each day – tomorrow will be no different.
Stenson, currently atop the leaderboard at East Lake, will play in the final group on Sunday with Dustin Johnson, who is four shots back. Not many people expected Johnson to be in this position after 54 holes, but Stenson was considered one of the favorites ahead of this event. I like Stenson to hold on for the victory and expect Johnson to fade a bit as the round progresses. They will get underway at 1:55 pm.
Tiger Woods, currently in a tie for 26th, will play with Matt Kuchar in the third group of the day. Neither player really has a shot at this week’s title. Woods is three over par and Kuchar is two over. The rest of the field ahead of them would have to undergo a cataclysmic collapse for either one of these guys to make a serious run. The pair will tee off at 11:55 am.
Jordan Spieth and Luke Donald are schedule to tee off at 1:25 pm and are the 12th group of the day. Spieth has continued his breakout season with a solid showing at East Lake. He is currently four under par and it a tie for fourth. Donald is tied for eighth at three under. There were some predictions that Donald might be a contender this week, but opening with two rounds of even par essentially derailed any chance he had.
Following is the entire list of tee times for the final round.
