Tom Watson, Jim Furyk, Darren Clarke
Graeme McDowell, Matt Kuchar, Louis Oosthuizen
Martin Kaymer, Jason Day, Zach Johnson

These three groups didn’t quite make the cut, but there are some notable names in them. Martin Kaymer won the 2014 U.S. Open, so it will be interesting to see if he can take home his second major of the year.

5. Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth

When a group consisting of Rory McIlroy comes in at No. 5, you know we are in store for a very exciting British Open. This is a very young group, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if McIlroy and Jordan Spieth were near the top of the leaderboard going into the final round.

4. Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Bubba Watson

Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson bring plenty of star power to this group. Heck, Ernie Els brings some star power in his own right. Els probably won’t be predicted to win this one, but Watson already won the Masters this year and Lefty won the Open last year.

3. Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Jason Dufner

Adam Scott enters this major as the No. 1 ranked golfer in the world. Justin Rose enters this tournament coming off of two victories. Jason Dufner, well, he has missed his last two PGA Tour cuts. He does have one major under his belt, so at least there is that.

2. Luke Donald, Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia

I am sure plenty of people would argue about this group going No. 2, but come on, it consists of Luke Donald, Rickie Fowler and Sergio Garcia. This is going to be a very exciting group to watch and it would not be a surprise if the winner of the 2014 British Open came from it. Well, maybe.

1. Tiger Woods, Angel Cabrera, Henrik Stenson

Tiger Woods. That is really all I have to say about this one. However, I will also say that Henrik Stenson is ranked No. 2 in the world and Angel Cabrera is coming off of a win at The Greenbrier Classic. Did I mention Tiger was playing in this group?
