Rickie Fowler Aces Island Green at No. 17 in Practice Round for THE PLAYERS Championship

Often called the most intimidating hole in golf, No. 17 at TPC Sawgrass features an infamous island green that can leave many pros feeling awfully lonely on Sunday afternoon.

But in a Wednesday practice round, that’s another story, as Rickie Fowler showed with this slick ace on the signature hole at THE PLAYERS Championship.

Back when he won the tournament in 2015, Fowler birdied the 17th an incredible three times in four rounds to claim golf’s so-called fifth major.

Perhaps it’s just one of the those holes that suits his eye; and if so, the field may be chasing this 28-year-old on the weekend.
